Lao Zhu Da Fang (Ding Gu Da Fang) Green Tea
Lao Zhu Da Fang tea, also called “Ding Gu Da Fang” or “Zhu Pu Da Fang”, originates from Yu Ling Guan of Shexian County, Anhui province.
LaoZhu DaFang tea is a stir fixation (Chao Qing) green tea and has long history with great reputation. According to local legend, as early as in the period of Song and Yuan Dynasties, there was an ancient temple on the old bamboo ridge (Lao Zhu Ling), a monk named Biqiu Dafang lived there and burned incense to entertain the pilgrims with his handmade tea for drinking, then the tea got its name “Lao Zhu Da Fang”. In the Qing Dynasty Lao Zhu Da Fang tea was selected as a tribute tea.
The tea area has mild climate, abundant rainfall, fertile soil and more ecological conditions which are favorable for creating this amazing tea. The best picking time of Laozhu Dafang is usually before Chinese Ching Ming Festival (bottom of March), the picking standard is one bud with one tender leaf, the length is generally about 1.5cm – 2.5cm.
Lao Zhu Da Fang tea, widely recognized as the “King of Reducing Weight”, works wonderful for losing weight. It can also be very helpful for promoting digestion, improving blood circulation, preventing elevated cholesterol, atherosclerosis and myocardial infarction.
