Xiu Ning Song Luo Green Tea
Xiu Ning Song Luo tea originates from Song Luo mountain located in the north area of Xiu Ning County in Anhui province, China. Xiu Ning Song Luo is historically a famous green tea, it was invented in Longqing’s ruling period of the Ming Dynasty. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Song Luo Mountain was a Buddism Holy Land. The production method of Song Luo Tea was firstly created by a monk named Dafang.
Xiu Ning County is the hometown of organic tea in China, holding abundant natural resource. It is situated at the north of the central Asia tropics, the moist climate condition is good for the growth of the forests, the fruits, the crops and certainly the teas. At present, the total woodland area is about 150 thousand hectares, the amount of growing stock is 4.5 million cubic meters, and the forest coverage rate reaches up to 80%.
In recent years the local government has insisted on a strategy which is to “Green Brand, Green Road”, and has gained remarkable results. The county has been successively ranked as “State Organic Tea Standardization Demonstration Base”, “Demonstration Base of Pollution-Free Tea Production County”. The area of the organic tea gardens with the issued certificates, the production and sales amount of Green Tea and Mei Tea all take the first place among the counties in China.
Xiuning County has more than 1,200 years history of making tea, producing traditional famous teas of “Lang Yuan Song Luo”, “Bai Yue Huang Ya” and “Jing Long Que She”, etc, and also some good teas newly opening out such as “Xin An Yuan Yin Hao” and “Song Luo Shan”.
