Brief Introduction to
Che Lan Wuyi Rock Oolong
Che Lan Oolong is a famous Wuyi rock oolong tea grown wild in the fertile rocky soil in Wuyi mountains (traditionally in Yaoyang, Xiping Town, Anxi County of China’s Fujian province). The bushes are relatively tall and semiappressed with straight and long terriers as well as dense branches.
Chelan is a partially oxidized tea (30-40% oxidation) and the dry tea leaves smell like orchid aroma. It is a great choice for the people who like aroma and light flavor. The tea soup is bright and smells like orhid aroma with longlasting sweet aftertaste, and the flavor is a little bit lighter than the classic Wuyi rock oolong such as Da Hong Pao.
Chelan also has a series of varieties such as White Chelan, Bamboo Leaves Chelan, etc.
